3 tips to find Glamping availability this weekend

So you want an adventure this weekend? The weather forecast is good(ish) (for the UK!)
Have you left it too late? We wanted to share some insider tips to help you get the outdoors fresh air break that you deserve.
We will be lifting the lid on how the Glamping Industry operates, to give you some of the best top tips and show you how to book a last minute glamping break in the UK.
Ok so first things first, you type glamping into a search engine..... the first page or two usually will be OTA’s, online travel agents they pay lots of money in advertising revenue to appear as high as possible these can include specialist in Glamping or Camping, specialists in family or dog friendly stays with mainstream agents like Air BNB & even booking.com now tapping into this fast growing industry. Lots of glamping sites in the Uk will be listed in some of these, what if I tell you there are well over 20 places that as a glamping site owner that you can list site their business ! yep it’s a lot and its unlikely that your perfect place with Glamping availability for this weekend will be listed exactly where you will look, its pot luck. another insider gem, we choose how many units we will allow each agent to sell. Often holding some glamping pods or glamping tents back for direct selling. Not all OTA’s have a live booking system which means they are not accessing the calendar, even if they do sometimes it can be once a day so its not always that up to date. So if someone cancels a booking at 9am on a Thursday then the agent may not refresh their data until 8.30am Friday. Last minute cancellation is likely to be a factor in finding Glamping availability for this weekend, after all you have left it a little late. If you are on Facebook jump onto Glamping direct with over 4000 members and growing it’s a great resource, create a post eg
“Looking for a glamping break this weekend, 2 adults somewhere quite , well-spaced out units with a good pub within walking distance” you will quickly have glamping site owners recommended places for you to try or if they have what you want they can send you details
Don’t worry follow these 3 tips
1) Contact the Glamping site directly, phone them or drop them an email as they are not paying an agent commission you may find they are happy to give you a discount
2) Jump onto social media groups on Facebook like Glamping Direct can help you book directly and get in touch with places you may not find.
3) Use the Maps function of Google is you are looking for a specific area you can always zoom out for a wider view.
